Schweitzer Prize
The Schweitzer award is an annual prize established by CiMET in partnership with Schweitzer family in remebrance of Professor Stuart O. Schweitzer.
The award is addressed to young reserarchers which operate in political economy area, analysis of economic policies and in applied economic studies.
Stuart O. Schweitzer was a distinguished American professor at UCLA. He devoted his academic career to the economic research with an emphasis to healthcare industries (biotechnology and pharmaceuticals).
Throughout his academic career he was mentor and coperated with academicians of different multidisciplinary background from a various number of countries.
Professor Schweitzer also collaborated with several Italian researcherers, showing a particular interest for the Italian economy, politics and its economic policies.
